ADP - Automatic Data Processing Inc. announced that private sector employment decreased by 32,000 jobs in November 2025, according to its latest National Employment Report. The report, produced in collaboration with the Stanford Digital Economy Lab, indicated that job creation has remained flat in the second half of 2025, with pay growth continuing on a downward trend. The goods-producing sector lost 19,000 jobs, with manufacturing down by 18,000 and construction down by 9,000, while natural resources and mining added 8,000 jobs. The service-providing sector shed 13,000 jobs. By establishment size, small establishments lost 120,000 jobs, including a decrease of 46,000 jobs in companies with 1-19 employees and 74,000 in those with 20-49 employees. Medium establishments added 51,000 jobs, and large establishments gained 39,000 jobs. Regionally, the South lost 43,000 jobs, while the West added 67,000 jobs. Annual pay for job-stayers increased by 4.4%, down from 4.5% in October, and pay for job-changers rose by 6.3%, a decrease from 6.7% the previous month.
