European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Higher in Tuesday Trading

European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were higher late Tuesday morning, rising 0.58% to 1,633.19 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by semiconductor company Sequans Communications (SQNS) and 3D printer firm Materialise (MTLS), which climbed 7.4% and 2.4% respectively. They were followed by lender ING Group (ING) and biopharmaceutical company argenx (ARGX), which advanced 2.1% and 1.5% respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by consumer goods company Unilever (UL) and pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk (NVO), which fell 1.5% and 1.3% respectively. They were followed by accommodations booking company trivago (TRVG) and internet advertising firm Criteo (CRTO), which were off 1% and 0.9% respectively.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical company GSK (GSK) and telecommunications operator Vodafone Group (VOD), which rose 2.1% and 2.0% respectively. They were followed by lender Lloyds Banking Group (LYG), which was up 1.9%.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics (SLN) and biopharmaceutical company Mereo BioPharma Group (MREO), which dropped 5.3% and 2.2% respectively. They were followed by software firm Endava (DAVA) and communications company WPP (WPP), which lost 2.1% and 2% respectively.
