Black Bear Minerals (ASX:BKB) said preliminary sampling across stockpiles of "waste" material from historic mining activity at the Shafter silver project in Texas highlights the polymetallic nature of mineralization at the site, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The sampling showed results of up to 1,570 grams per tonne grade of silver, 5% grade of lead, 4.4% grade of zinc, 0.3 g/t grade of gold, and 1.1% grade of vanadium oxide.
Further work is planned in 2026 to assess the stockpile material, which is not included in the current foreign resource estimate.
