Volaris (VLRS) said Monday it has finished inspections and repairs on its Airbus 320 crafts required under a new European airworthiness directive against a flight-control software issue linked to solar flares.
The work followed an alert from Airbus and a directive from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency covering about 6,000 A320 aircraft worldwide, the company said.
Volaris carried out all software updates and hardware checks with no flight cancellations and only minor delays as aircraft returned to service, it said.
