Meeka Metals (ASX:MEK) found high-grade gold at the Rosapenna target during drilling along the Fairway shear zone at the Murchison project in Western Australia, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Results include 23 meters at 1.1 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 76 meters, and 10 meters at about 2 g/t grade of gold from 71 meters, the filing said.

The current footprint of gold mineralization remains open to the south, east, and west, and drilling pads are being prepared to the south of the existing results to expand the resource base, per the filing.
