The collaboration will see Digimarc's latest digital identity and authentication software integrated into Zebra's retail scanners, including the DS8100 handheld and MP7000 multi-plane models. The new solution enables automated detection of tampered gift cards, improves scanning speed, and simplifies cashier workflows, resulting in reduced checkout times and increased security. Zebra plans to roll out the updated Digimarc software across its scanner portfolio in early 2026, aiming to deliver enhanced fraud protection and a better shopping experience for retailers and consumers.
