Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) secured firm commitments to raise around AU$17 million via a placement of 70,833,334 new shares at AU$0.24 per share to domestic and international professional and institutional investors, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The placement was oversubscribed, led by US institutional investors.

The capital raising round was conducted under its refreshed placement capacity, following shareholder approval at its annual general meeting on Nov. 28. The settlement is expected to occur on or around Thursday.
