Wayfair Inc. has announced the implementation of renewable energy projects at its fulfillment centers in Perris, California, and Romeoville, Illinois, in partnership with Prologis and Station A. The initiative includes the installation of rooftop solar and battery storage systems at the Perris campus, which now generate the majority of the facility's electricity needs. According to the company, this project supports its goal to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 63% by 2035. The new battery systems allow for solar power storage and use during peak demand, aiming to reduce emissions, lower operational costs, and enhance energy reliability at the facilities.
