Whirlpool China (SHA:600983) proposed the signing of a second amendment to its technology and intellectual property license agreement with U.S.-based Whirlpool Group, according to a Thursday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The amendment adjusts licensing scope, regional rights and intellectual property ownership linked to the company's expansion plans, including assets from Galanz's washing-machine business.
The proposal awaits shareholder approval.
Shares of the home appliances maker were down 1% in recent trade.
