Chinese Automakers' Output, Sales Top 3 Million Each in November

Chinese auto manufacturers saw output reach 3.5 million units in November, while sales were at 3.4 million units, Xinhua News Agency reported Thursday, citing the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

For the 11 months through November, auto production jumped 12% to 31.2 million units, while sales jumped 11% to 31.1 million units, the report said.

New energy vehicle (NEV) production for the month was at 1.9 million, while sales were at 1.8 million units, the report said.

For the January-November period, NEV production jumped 31% to 14.9 million units, while sales also surged 31% to 14.8 million units, Xinhua said.

China's biggest local automakers include Dongfeng Motor Group (HKG:0489), SAIC Motor (SHA:600104), Chongqing Changan Automobile (SHE:000625), BAIC Motor (HKG:1958), Guangzhou Automobile Group (SHA:601238, HKG:2238), Great Wall Motors (SHA:601633, HKG:2333) and FAW Group (SHE:000800).

Top NEV manufacturers include BYD (SHE:002594, HKG:1211), Li Auto (HKG:2015), XPeng (HKG:9868) and NIO (HKG:9866, SGX:NIO).
