Atomic Eagle (ASX:AEU) said the results from its maiden drill program at the Chisebuka target within the Muntanga uranium project in Zambia confirmed the presence of thick, near-surface, and higher-grade uranium mineralization, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

Drilling encountered intercepts of 16.4 meters at 1,036 parts per million (ppm) of triuranium octoxide-equivalent from 13.5 meters as well as 29.4 meters at 439 ppm of triuranium octoxide-equivalent from 32.2 meters.

The results from the ongoing drilling campaign and further drilling planned for the coming months are expected to contribute to a maiden resource for the Chisebuka target in 2026, Chief Executive Phil Hoskins said.

Atomic Eagle's shares fell past 3% in recent trading on Thursday.
