Uber, WeRide Launch Robotaxi in Dubai

Uber Technologies (UBER) and WeRide (WRD) said Friday they have partnered with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority to begin offering Robotaxi passenger rides in Dubai through the Uber app.

The companies said that WeRide Robotaxis are now available on the Uber app in locations across Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah.

The trial service is currently operating with a onboard vehicle specialist to ensure safety and reliability, ahead of a planned fully driverless commercial service in early 2026.
