Joby Aviation Inc. announced the successful completion of its final international flight demonstration of 2025 at the Fuji Speedway in Japan, conducted in collaboration with Toyota Motor Company. During the week-long campaign, Joby carried out 14 piloted flights, concluding a year in which its electric air taxi fleet completed more than 850 flights and flew over 50,000 miles-a 2.6 times increase in operational tempo compared to the previous year. In 2025, Joby's aircraft operated in three countries, including 41 flights at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, and 21 flights in the UAE, as well as participation in the Dubai Airshow. The company reported its flights covered over 9,000 miles in 2025 and supported more than 4,900 test points. The accumulated flight data is supporting the final stages of FAA Type Certification, with Joby aiming to begin Type Inspection Authorization flight testing in 2026 and carry its first passengers in the same year.
