Textron Systems Corporation, a subsidiary of Textron Inc., announced the sale of a 21-foot TSUNAMI™ Uncrewed Surface Vessel $(USV)$ to the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC). The vessel will support the Maritime Digital Experimentation Federation (MDEF), a collaborative testing initiative involving Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States focused on interoperability standards for uncrewed vehicles. The order includes the TSUNAMI craft as well as engineering and training support. This follows a previous sale of a 24-foot TSUNAMI vessel to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. The TSUNAMI family of autonomous maritime surface vessels is designed for mission flexibility and rapid deployment, leveraging commercial technologies and autonomous control systems.
