US Bancorp's (USB) US Bank has expanded its partnership with Coinstar, allowing customers to deposit coins into their checking accounts, the companies said Tuesday.

The service follows a pilot at four branches and now complements the bank's existing 2,000 locations and digital tools, according to the companies.

Customers can deposit coins by swiping a US Bank debit card at a participating Coinstar kiosk or branch machine, with funds transferred instantly, the companies said.

Coinstar kiosks also offer options for donating coins to charities or converting them into eGift cards without fees, the companies added.
