Lunnon Metals (ASX:LM8) has secured approval from the Western Australian Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration for its Lady Herial mining proposal and mine closure plan, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The approval fulfills a key condition of the ore purchase deal with major shareholder St Ives Gold Mining, with the agreement set to become unconditional once the native vegetation clearing permit is obtained and mine scheduling is finalized, the filing said.
The shallow, high-grade Lady Herial deposit has been de-risked through land access agreements, extensive drilling, and a positive scoping study, with mining contracts now being finalized ahead of a final investment decision, the filing added.
