Nouveau Monde Graphite (NMG) said late Friday it has closed its public offering of over 8.3 million shares at $2.40 apiece for gross proceeds of about $20 million.

The use of proceeds include for procurement of long-lead equipment, to start some construction activities, and for general corporate expenses, the company said.
