0900 ET - U.S. natural gas futures start the week lower, shrugging off weekend weather forecasts that added back some cold. "The lack of a more substantial relief rally following the mid-December price plunge is indicative of sentiment weakness," Eli Rubin of EBW Analytics says in a note. "Medium-term fundamentals are stronger than recent price action reflects, but mild-and weakening-demand paired with rising supply into the Christmas holiday week make it difficult for a durable rally to take hold." Nymex gas for January delivery is off 0.9% at $3.949/mmBtu. (anthony.harrup@wsj.com)
