0655 GMT - Indonesia's corporate earnings are likely to gain in 2026, supported by a firmer macroeconomic backdrop, a DBS Group Research team says in a note. Higher government spending, policy stimulus and a stronger rupiah outlook likely helped boost earnings, which have been improving since 3Q, they say. The analysts expect earnings to grow 7.8% next year. Consumer and retail stocks are likely to be the biggest beneficiaries of a rebound in consumption, they add. Major banks are likely post around 8% loan growth next year, they add. DBS places its end-2026 Jakarta Composite Index target at 9500. The JCI trades 0.2% higher at 8625.66. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
