The shares of both Newmont (ASX:NEM) and Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) rose over 5% and 2% in recent trade, respectively, and reached their all-time peak in recent trading on the Australian bourse on Monday after gold touched a fresh record on expectations of US rate cuts.

Spot gold climbed 1.2% to hit $4,391.92 per ounce. Northern Star Resources' (ASX:NST) shares jumped 3% in recent trade.
