AKZO NOBEL NV AKZO.AS: Dutch paints and coatings company Akzo Nobel announced, on Friday, that its Finance chief Maarten de Vries agreed to extend his tenure for one year to support the planned merger with Axalta, while Fredrik Westin will no longer join as new CFO in January 1, 2026, as previously announced.
FRANCE/DEFENCE: President Emmanuel Macron confirmed on Sunday plans to build a new, larger and more modern aircraft carrier to replace the ageing Charles de Gaulle carrier and strengthen France's maritime power.
FRANCE/RUSSIA: France has taken note of Russia's openness to talk to President Emmanuel Macron and will work out the "best manner to proceed" in the next few days, the presidential office in Paris said on Sunday.
ICADE SA ICAD.PA: French real estate company Icade, on Friday, signed a preliminary agreement to sell the Marignan building on the Champs-Élysées in Paris for 402 million euros ($471.06 million), with the transaction scheduled to close in the first half of 2026. It also completed the sale of the Le Mauvin business park in Aubervilliers, France for 69 million euros.
SANOFI SASY.PA: U.S. President Donald Trump and nine major pharmaceutical companies on Friday announced deals that will slash the prices of their medicines for the government's Medicaid program and for cash payers, in his latest bid to align U.S. costs with those in other wealthy nations.
