Vikran Engineering (NSE:VIKRAN, BOM:544496) has secured an engineering, procurement and construction contract worth 4.59 billion Indian rupees from NTPC Renewable Energy, according to an Indian bourse filing on Thursday.
Shares of the company rose nearly 4% in Friday's trade.
The contract is for a 400 MW AC grid-connected solar power project at Chitrakoot-1 in Uttar Pradesh, India, the filing said. It covers the balance-of-system package, including transportation, insurance, installation, testing, commissioning and guarantee tests.
The project is scheduled to be completed within 12 months, the filing said.
