Nvidia (NVDA): The semiconductor maker is rolling out faster artificial-intelligence chips sooner than expected. The company's newest AI server systems, known as Vera Rubin, will go on sale in the second half of this year.

Mercedes-Benz (XE:MBG): Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang said the chip maker's first autonomous car, built in partnership with Mercedes-Benz, is set to hit U.S. roads in the first three months of this year. Shares in the German carmaker rose more than 1% early Tuesday.

AMD $(AMD)$: The smaller chip designer also unveiled its latest AI chips, known as the Instinct MI440X, which will launch later this year. They are expected to be AMD's strongest competition to Nvidia yet.

Hilton Worldwide $(HLT)$: The Department of Homeland Security alleged the hotel chain had launched a "coordinated campaign" to refuse service to Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and other agents at its hotels in Minneapolis.

Steel Dynamics (STLD): The U.S. metals recycler and steel producer made a joint takeover bid with Australia's SGH for BlueScope Steel (AU:BSL). The deal valued the Australian target at around $8.8 billion; its shares surged 21%. Steel Dynamics shares rose in offhours trading.

Intel $(INTC)$: The chip maker unveiled the first computer platform built on its Intel 18A technology. Shares gained about 1% before the bell.

Dell $(DELL)$: The company will revive the XPS computer line, according to a top executive. Jeff Clarke, chief operating officer, added that Dell had focused too much on high-end, premium PCs for commercial customers.

Microchip (MCHP): The semiconductor manufacturer raised its sales outlook, citing strong bookings last quarter, among other factors. Shares rose about 3.5% offhours.
