NCR Voyix (VYX) said late Thursday it started the transition of its self-checkout and point-of-sale hardware businesses to an outsourced design and manufacturing model through its agreement with Ennoconn.

Under the deal, Ennoconn will design, develop, and supply self-checkout and POS hardware to NCR Voyix clients, with NCR Voyix coordinating the hardware purchase and delivery, according to a statement.

The transition will see NCR Voyix record revenue from hardware sales on a net basis, starting Q2, the company said.
