Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Little Changed in Friday Trading

Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were little changed Friday morning, edging 0.1% higher to 2,789.48 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index, which is down 0.5% for the week.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by game live-streaming service HUYA (HUYA) and internet and data center services provider VNET Group (VNET), which advanced 2% and 3.7% respectively. They were followed by lender CNFinance (CNF) and solar panel maker JinkoSolar (JKS), which were up 4.8% and 2.4% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by consumer lender Eason Technology (DXF) and brand platform 36Kr (KRKR), which dropped 0.9% and 4.7% respectively. They were followed by education company 51Talk Online Education Group (COE) and thin-film liquid display maker LG Display (LPL), which lost 1.8% and 0.8% respectively.

From South Asia, the only gainers were pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and telecommunications operator PLDT (PHI), which rose 1% and 0.4% respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were led by telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and lender ICICI Bank (IBN), which fell 3% and 2% respectively. They were followed by lender HDFC Bank (HDB) and IT firm Sify Technologies (SIFY), which were off 0.8% and 3.8% respectively.
