Breton Technology (HKG:1333) awarded Wuhuang Construction a solar energy storage project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Friday.
Shares of the battery-electric engineering firm gained over 2% in morning trade Monday.
Wuhuang Construction was contracted to build a microgrid project with a 76 megawatt-peak photovoltaic and 100 megawatt-hour energy storage power station at the LCS mining area in Kolwezi, Lualaba province.
The contract is valued at HK$116.5 million, Breton said.
Construction is expected to begin this month, with completion targeted for March.
