Among European banks, UBS looks best positioned to gain from these trends, the analysts say. "Overall, despite the mixed share-price reactions, we believe the U.S. results reinforce our more constructive stance on the EU banks sub-sector, with [Barclays] remaining our top pick," the analysts say.
