Technology stocks were rising premarket Thursday, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) 1.6% higher and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) up 1.7%.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) stock was up more than 5% after the company reported higher Q4 earnings and net sales, and issued Q1 revenue guidance above analysts' expectations.
