Yandal Resources (ASX:YRL) said drilling results from an air-core drilling program within the company's Ironstone Well-Barwidgee gold project in Western Australia show several significant intercepts, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

Further data from the program is expected by the end of the March quarter, and further air-core drilling will start once final heritage clearance has been received, the filing said.

Initial follow-up reverse circulation drilling will be completed early in the June quarter, the filing added.

Shares of the company rose 16% in recent Monday trade.
