Broken Hill Mines (ASX:BHM) said it is on track to start operations at Pinnacles silver-lead-zinc mine in New South Wales in the June quarter, and it kicked off its planned 25,000-meter phase two drilling program, with two rigs mobilized to the site, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The firm awarded contracts for mining services and ore haulage. Surface works are underway to upgrade pit access, relocate site offices, and remove legacy infrastructure.
The firm's shares advanced 2% in recent trading on Tuesday.
