The headquarters of Barclays's European operations are now in the process of being moved to Paris from Dublin after a review.
Barclays Europe kicked off formal legal and regulatory processes to relocate to France in a move that "will enhance oversight and governance by bringing decision-making closer to the majority of its investment-banking operations in continental Europe," the group said Wednesday.
The British bank will keep running its corporate-banking and private-bank businesses in Ireland from Dublin, it added.
