Adient (ADNT) said Thursday it has launched ModuTec, a modular vehicle seating solution designed to simplify manufacturing and enable higher levels of automation.

The company said ModuTec streamlines assembly and production workflows, reduces factory floor space and improves seat comfort, while making seats easier to service and upgrade.

Shares of Adient were up 1.9% in early Thursday trading.
