- Chief executives of Target TGT.N, Best Buy BBY.N, General Mills GIS.N and Cargill were among more than 60 large Minnesota companies to issue a public letter on Sunday calling for an "immediate de-escalation of tensions" in the state.

- U.S. President Donald Trump said in a series of social media posts on Sunday that two American citizens had "tragically" lost their lives amid his administration's immigration crackdown in Minneapolis, but he blamed Democratic leaders for the deaths.

- A private jet crashed in flames as it was taking off from a Maine airport with eight aboard, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said, but their fate and identities were not immediately known.
