Boeing Expects Around 500 737 MAX Deliveries in 2026, CEO Says

Boeing (BA) Chief Executive Robert Kelly Ortberg said Tuesday in the Q4 earnings call that the company is set to deliver around 500 737 MAX aircraft in 2026.

Production of the 737 is stabilizing at 42 airplanes per month and the company plans to increase the rate to 52 per month later this year. Boeing will also build around 30 737-10 aircraft, which are expected to be delivered in 2027 upon certification. Deliveries of the 777X are also planned to begin in 2027.

Boeing expects between 90 and 100 deliveries of 787 in 2026. Total commercial aircraft deliveries are anticipated to rise about 10 percent led by the 737 and 787 programs, according to a FactSet transcript.

Ortberg added that the company aims to deliver 19 KC-46 tankers in 2026, up from 14 in 2025.

Shares of Boeing were down 2.5% in recent trading.
