Boss Energy's (ASX:BOE) Honeymoon uranium project registered an 18% increase in drummed production to 456,000 pounds triuranium octoxide (U₃O₈) in the second quarter, due to higher flows from new wellfields, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

On the back of a strong production in the quarter ended Dec. 31, the company lowered C1 cost guidance for the South Australia-based project to AU$36 to AU$40 per pound from AU$41 to AU$45 per pound.

The uranium producer remains on track to meet its fiscal 2026 production outlook of 1.6 million pounds.

The company has also commenced a new feasibility study to assess wide-spaced wellfield design for cutting costs and extending mine life.

Shares of the company rose over 8% in recent Wednesday trading.
