Tivan (ASX:TVN) discovered further copper-gold mineralization across multiple locations at the Turiscai Project in Timor-Leste as part of a systematic regional-scale surface sampling program at the project, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

Assays from a further 111 rock chip samples returned grades of up to 2.2% copper and 4.8 grams per tonne gold, and anomalous grades of up to 1.3% zinc.

The company said that the new results further strengthen the prospectivity of the project for copper-gold mineralization, complementing prior assays from rock chips that returned grades of up to 9.7% copper and 7.2 grams per tonne gold.

The surface sampling program is ongoing to inform future exploration targeting focused on porphyry-style copper-gold mineralization, the filing added.

The company's shares rose 3% in recent Tuesday trade.
