Southwest Airlines' change to assigned seating hasn't been an easy one for the company, but investors are starting to love it.
The Dallas-based carrier on Wednesday projected a fourfold profit surge this year as its transition to assigned seats and other premium offerings takes effect. Shares jumped 15% in response on Thursday.
