Stocks to Watch Friday: Apple, Chevron, Visa -- WSJ

Apple $(AAPL)$: The company posted blowout iPhone sales and quarterly profit, but investors were concerned by rising costs.

Chevron $(CVX)$: The only U.S. oil major in Venezuela is due to post earnings early Friday, as is Exxon Mobil (XOM), which left the country in 2007. Shares in both dropped in premarket trading.

Visa (V): The payment company's quarterly results trumped expectations, boosted by strong holiday spending by consumers. American Express $(AXP)$ is due to post earnings early Friday.

CK Hutchison (HK:1): Panama's high court annulled a contract for the Hong Kong-based company to operate two Panama Canal ports. Shares dropped 4.6%. The move hands President Trump a victory in denting China's influence in the region.

Sandisk $(SNDK)$: The data-storage company's quarterly results topped forecasts. The stock jumped one-fifth before the bell.

Deckers Outdoor (DECK): The footwear company reported quarterly results that topped expectations, boosted by Hoka running shoes, and raised forecasts. The stock rallied 13% premarket.
