THE GLOBE AND MAIL

- Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said he would not negotiate publicly over closer trade alignment with the United States, as Washington and Mexico move toward deeper coordination ahead of a key North American trade pact review.

- Crisis management firm Navigator said it has appointed Laas Turnbull as chief executive officer, replacing current CEO Jamie Watt, who will remain chair of the company's board.

- Canadian satellite maker MDA Space MDA.TO is facing a proposed class‑action lawsuit alleging its executives made misleading disclosures and engaged in insider trading under Ontario's securities law in connection with the announcement and later cancellation of a major contract last summer.

- U.S President Donald Trump said on Thursday the United States could decertify Canadian‑made aircraft and impose a 50% tariff on planes sold domestically, accusing Canada of refusing to approve several business jets built by U.S manufacturer Gulfstream Aerospace.
