Stellantis (STLA) is cutting prices for its Fiat, Opel and Peugeot cars in France as the automaker aims to regain its market share in the country, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

Speaking at a media event, Head of Stellantis in France Xavier Duchemin said that the company has decided to be more "aggressive" on prices this year, according to the report.

Prices for the Fiat Pandina will start at 9,990 euros ($11,926), while the starting price for Opel Corsas with a gasoline engine in France now stands at 15,900 euros from 20,900 euros previously, Bloomberg said.

Additionally, the company has also trimmed leasing rates for popular models such as the Peugeot 208 city car, Duchemin said, according to the media outlet.

Stellantis did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
