Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930) will enable American Express cards for overseas payments via Samsung Wallet from Wednesday, the electronics products maker said in a Tuesday release.

Samsung Wallet users can make contactless payments overseas using Mastercard, Visa, and Amex without carrying physical cards. Payments will be accepted at Amex merchants globally that support contactless payments, the release said.

Shares of Samsung Electronics jumped nearly 7% in recent trade.
