1026 GMT - Shares in Palantir Technologies jump more than 10% in premarket trade on better-than-expected earnings released after Monday's close. Strong U.S. government demand for its artificial-intelligence technology helped drive fourth-quarter sales up 70% on year. The company is the beneficiary of booming data volumes generated in both the public and private sectors, Jefferies analysts write. Moreover, the company's 93% jump in U.S. revenue is "a sign that AI hype is now turning into hard budgets - exactly what investors have been waiting to see," Swissquote analyst Ipek Ozkardeskaya writes.
