Johnson Controls International (JCI) on Tuesday launched the YORK YDAM air-cooled centrifugal chiller, which it said can deliver up to 3.5MW of cooling for multistory data centers.

The YDAM is designed to deliver high cooling capacity in a compact footprint without consuming water, addressing space and site constraints as data centers scale, the company said.

Shipments expected to begin in late 2026, Johnson Controls said.
