Solstice Minerals (ASX:SLS) said assays from a 23-hole 6,030-meter first phase mineral resource estimate expansion drilling program at the Nanadie copper-gold project in Western Australia intersected wide zones of disseminated chalcopyrite mineralization with several higher-grade zones, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

Drilling encountered intercepts of 62 meters at 1.6% grade of copper as well as 0.7 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold to end-of-hole from 256 meters and 97 meters at 0.7% grade of copper as well as 0.3 g/t grade of gold to end-of-hole from 203 meters, the filing said.

The drilling also showed that the system is open at depth and has excellent potential to materially expand on the current mineral resource estimate.

Solstice Minerals' shares soared 56% in recent trading on Tuesday and earlier reached an all-time peak.
