Celsius Resources (ASX:CLA) received approval from the Philippine Mines and Geosciences Bureau for the first renewal of an exploration permit at the Botilao porphyry copper-gold prospect, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The renewal of the permit gives the company's affiliate firm, Makilala Mining, authority to continue exploration activities over the prospect for another two years, the filing said.

The exploration activities will focus on the geological understanding of the prospect, the filing added.
