Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise in Monday Trading

Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts started the week higher Monday, rising 0.44% to 2,969.70 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by semiconductor company ASE Technology (ASX) and internet and data center services provider VNET Group (VNET), which climbed 5.6% and 5.3% respectively. They were followed by mobile app developer Cheetah Mobile (CMCM) and automotive marketplace Token Cat (TC), which advanced 3.5% and 3.3% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by EV maker NIO (NIO) and education firm 51Talk Online Education Group (COE), which fell 3.9% and 3.6% respectively. They were followed by automotive firm Honda Motor (HMC), which was down 3.3%.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by IT firm Sify Technologies (SIFY) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which were up 0.9% and 0.8% respectively. They were followed by tech group Sea (SE), which rose 0.4%.

The decliners from South Asia were led by IT companies Infosys (INFY) and Wipro (WIT), which fell 3.1% and 2.2% respectively. They were followed by lenders HDFC Bank (HDB) and ICICI Bank (IBN), which lost 2% and 1.3% respectively.
