Toubani Resources (ASX:TRE) said it found high-grade, near-surface oxide gold mineralization during a recent drilling at its Kobada Gold Project in Mali, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The results were up to 19 meters at 1.02 grams per tonne grade of gold from eight meters, and one meter at 39.7 g/t gold from 85 meters.
The company said that the mineralization lies on the margins of Kobada's current mineral resource estimate (MRE) in a zone that was predominantly classified as inferred.
The company expects the results to increase the oxide MRE in the Kobada South area and potentially upgrade specific zones to a higher-confidence inferred category.
Reverse circulation drilling continues on site, with drilling underway in the northern portion of the deposit, testing similar targets adjacent to the Kobada MRE, the filing added.
