Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Advance in Friday Trading

Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were higher on Friday morning, up 0.23% to 2,995.22 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by wireless telecommunications operator SK Telecom (SKM) and commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company Zai Lab (ZLAB), which advanced 5.7% and 5.6%, respectively. They were followed by hospitality and gaming company Melco Resorts & Entertainment (MLCO) and technology company Tuya (TUYA), which climbed 5.5% and 3.4%, respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by VNET (VNET) and GDS (GDS), which fell 4% and 2%, respectively. They were followed by Li Auto (LI), which shed 1.8%.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by tech companies Trident Digital Tech (TDTH) and Infosys (INFY), which rose 8.4% and 3.2% respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were led by ICICI Bank (IBN), which fell 2.2%, followed by HDFC Bank (HDB), which was down 2.1%.
