Converse trimmed its workforce earlier this week as the Nike-owned company undergoes a restructuring.

The sneaker company acknowledged that it was losing employees as a part of its restructuring changes, according to an internal memo to employees viewed by The Wall Street Journal.

The memo didn't say how many jobs would be cut.

"We believe in the iconic Converse brand and the steps being taken to evolve into the Sport Offense and return the business to growth," Nike said in a statement.

Converse's revenue fell 30% in the latest quarter, as the company struggles to find growth beyond its Chuck Taylor sneaker.
