EBay hopes to replicate its success with collectibles with its acquisition of Depop, Chief Executive Jamie Iannone tells analysts. The company plans to keep Depop as a standalone brand, but cross-list its products on eBay's website as well. Years ago, eBay bought several collectibles-focused platforms including TCGplayer and Goldin Auctions. It integrated those companies' listings into eBay, and now collectibles are its biggest driver of gross merchandise volume, Iannone says.
